GM Petko Petkov has just turned 70! |
Today (27th February 2012) GM Petko Petkov is celebrating his 70th jubilee! Petkov is one of the most famous chess composers with enormous contribution to this art. He is the author of more than 6000 (!) chess problems and a great number of books and theoretical articles, for many years he has been a constant leader in the world rank list of points in FIDE albums, Olympic and four times World champion, he has supported dozens of Bulgarian and foreign composers in their development… The prominent chess composers Andrey Selivanov (Russia) and Krassimir Gandev as well as the rising star of Latvia Julia Vysotska and also Diyan Kostadinov will be in Sofia for the jubilee. You can expect pictures of the jubilee soon. Heartily wishing the jubilee health, happiness, luck and great success to delight us for many long years with his splendid chess masterpieces and to enrich our knowledge with his great experience in this art!
