Diyan, yours and Mr.Petkov's contribution to WFCC and our community is far beyond the average. I wouldn't dare even to think about pointing at your country for "destructing" our community. It is clear that you are talking about the possible improvements. I just say that the improvements should come out of some common principles and not out of an individual disobedience. Anatoly, my personal attitude against racism is irrelevant here, especially since I don't know any facts. Anyway, it is not decisive what you or me think as the individuals, it is WFCC who should consider the facts and decide about it. Personally, I am very sorry if there is any kind of racism in your country.

Rodolfo, your sarcasm is addressed to me personally, by my name. How did you conclude that I have the intention to "give the orders to the editors"? I am asking for a consensus about the principles, before WFCC might define the clear&fair rules and eventually any "orders". Therefore, we should better all consider the fundamental principle 2., which is nicely explained in comment #65 by Valery Shanshin. Of course, anyone may suggest other principles. I just think that personal interests are too narrow and too selfish and that without the common principles, WFCC cannot fulfill it's fundamental purposes in a satisfactory way.

Diyan, Rodolfo and Anatoly, you all are highly intelligent persons and I expect you are VERY able to think abstractedly. So please, think abstractedly and you will see that I'm not talking about particular individuals or countries. There is a group of entities which have joined and established an organization. The most fundamental purpose of that organization is: 1. defining the relations among the various elements of the organization, to create a well ordered abstract system. (Violation of that order is a destruction of the purpose 1.) I DO NOT SPEAK ABOUT PARTICULAR PERSONS OR COUNTRIES AND I DO NOT BLAME ANYONE FOR ANYTHING. I AM SIMPLY NOT INTERESTED IN PARTICULAR CASES.

Nikola, thanks for your comments. This was just a short discussion which probably show some possible improvements for the future. Nobody want a chaos of course. Probably you know that bulgarians (and personally me) even that we do not participate support WCCT as judges. So it is wrong to think that we do not support it or not respect WFCC. I just asked myself is it possible some improvement to be done. Unfortunately most probably I will not going to Ostroda this year, because the WCCC is during my top business season and we can not discuss this face to face, but if somehow I can help from distance - I Will do with great pleasure. Anatoly, about your comments about the team of Ukraine - I think that here is not the correct place for such a discussion and I can not comment it. But I hope that all will be OK.

Valery Shanshin forwarded the following message. The English translation is done by him (so it might be slightly inaccurate). Healthy public creative solidarity is manifested (including) in the conduct of the WCCT. Conduct of the WCCI also promotes development of healthy personal creative selfishness. Opposition to these phenomena, obviously, should not be. The publications similar to No. 587, inevitably affect a common interest, and any limitations in publications affect the interests of the creative personality. Need a compromise solution to this problem. Otherwise, for example, in parcels of different teams in 10-WCCT may well be works that are similar (for example) on No. 587."

As to “respect for the WFCC”. Unfortunately, none of the participants in the discussion (who included a number of WFCC delegates) paid attention to the reason I had given for the non-participation in the 10th WCCT of many leading chess composers of Ukraine, including 5 winners of the 5th WCCT. Unfortunately, Ukrainian WFCC Delegate Valery Kopyl refused a while ago to review and report to the WFCC the facts that were presented to him concerning racist manifestations among Ukrainian composers, which led to the refusal to participate. Please tell me, Nikola: Does an organization whose high officials refuse to comply with anti-racist and anti-discrimination recommendations from the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) deserve respect? As regards respect for the WFCC, isn’t this issue more important than the one you are discussing?

What I'm try to highlight? The reasoning in some posts looks as a "public invitation" to everyone to disobey the "bad rules" and to put a pressure on WFCC to make improvements. That is also a "democratic" way but only if you have prepared a clear proposal of the amendments and submitted it to WFCC. A "rebellion" without the clearly defined goals leads to chaos.
