Problem 672: Sebastien Luce - Fairy (Hippogriffe, Camel, NAO)
sebastien.luce(23.12.2015) A symbolic problem with Big black Royal cross by Sebastien Luce. He dedicate it to Themis Argirakopoulos who found that the pieces on the diagram are like the number "64".

Camel: a (1,3/3,1) leaper, e.g. a1>b4 or a1>d2
Hippogriffe: Knight + Grasshopper [Hops on Q-lines over any one unit (the hurdle) to the next square beyond]

Wow! Nice task of King-cross, 4 promotions & 4 Camel mates!

The Chinese nightrider is also given the name NAO. (see the 9-wcct G-section)

Of course it is NAO :) Last weeks I prepared and upload so many originals in KoBulChess and SuperProblem received in English, Russian, French, German... so my mind was blocked last night and I initially translate "Noctambule chinois" direct as "Chinese Nightrider" :) Now it's corrected.

Chinese Nightrider is also good enough name! I sometimes feel that Instead of Pao/Vao the names Chinese rook, Chinese Bishop are more descriptive! But then, Pao/Vao has already become well known !
