(04.01.2019) Wish you all a very Happy and successful new year!  Here is the first Helpmate for the year - a simple one showing check prevention. This should encourage all to attempt more complex themes!

Thanks Yuri Bilokin for your version. I am not sure if model mates are worth two more units. Perhaps.

Apologies Mr.yuri Bilokin. My problem actually has 4+5. So you are adding only another (not two). Still I think adding a static black knight is slightly costly.

Superb modification of my scheme! You have added nice mutual interference of rooks and added bishop shut offs! This is entirely your idea actually. Please publish as your original. !!

It would not be your 972, there would be no my modification. I propose to publish as a collective 972a.

I don't like that the bBf7 is useless in one of the solutions so personally I would prefer diagram position -Bf7 and twin b)Bc7-c8

Thanks Diyan for your suggestion. It is an interesting twin, though I would prefer not to move a thematic piece as twin. But yes, better economy.
